Today we are going to follow up on Dave’s suggestion to read a specific poem. This poem has one of my favorite titles, Yesterday, Today and Tomorrowday. Sometimes I like to play with words and even make my own words. Yesterday, today and tomorrow are all days of our lives. And no, I have not watched this soap opera on tv. I’m not sure how clean I would be after watching an episode.
Ok, enough, I’ll get to reading. Our first poem is found in Living in God’s Rhyme on page 157.
YESTERDAY, TODAY AND TOMORROWDAY
Not much to say. It’s how my mind works. Crazy, I know; the voices in my head are constantly telling me so.
Let’s see what I wrote some other day. This is found on page 53 of Living In God’s Rhyme.
SUDDEN DAY
As I was putting together the show notes, this thought fell into my mind: Every day I pray that I follow God’s way. What can go wrong as I sing a song of praise to the One He did raise
We’ll end the poetry with one more from Living In God’s Rhyme. This one is on page 58.
ANOTHER DAY TODAY
When the day starts to lead me astray, God shows me the way.
My final thought about todays poems is, Pray, always. God is there in prayer
Closing Prayer
And this week may we remember the words from 2 Corinthians, 12:9;
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you,
my power is perfect in weakness.”
At the beginning and at the end
And every moment in between,
May our strength be for His strength
So His perfection may be seen.
